7" 1982 Queens NY (VG+/VG+, with VG+ insert, sleeve is elaborately signed by the whole band on the back of the sleeve, one of whom also wrote "Bringing me up..." and "List under GARBAGE" in small letters on the front of the sleeve, back of insert signed by singer John Rizzo who also hand wrote "Look I'm out of a job...I don't like doing this but I'm Under Sexed and Need YOUR Help (Female Only). Write to John Rizzo", also has a message and the band's address written on the innersleeve, blue vinyl with some black streaking)

(beautiful NM condition, this is the original 1979 release poster/flyer for the Avengers 4-song 12" EP on White Noise records. It is flyer-sized (8.5 by 11 inches) and is offset printed on off-white paper. It is NOT a xerox or silkscreen. The main graphic is the same one used for the cover of the record. There is a White Noise Records logo at bottom-right. The text at top says: "Despite subversive foreign influences, at long last, Avengers / 4 classics by San Francisco's legendary Avengers with original tracks produced by Steve Jones / Available in discerning outlets or by mail. Send $4 to White Noise, Dept. N, 1934-1/2 N Rodney, LA, CA 90027", The Avengers EP was a pressing of 10,000 (yes, that's ten thousand) and as a result it turns up quite often. This poster is far harder to find)

7" 1983 Upper Montclair NJ (NM/NM, Stardust SR8301, This has to be my favorite oddball, not-quite-punk record from New Jersey in the '76-'83 era. In the Volume 3 Discography, I said "Bizarre record with somewhat funky intrumental backing is saved by the punky vocals of seven different singers. B-side turns up the funk. Cover photo rivals NYC's Ducky Boys for dumbest/coolest looking band." Everyone I play it for at least gets a kick out of it (especially if they get the NJ-centric lyrics). Some even love it. Co-engineered by Gray Russell who is best known for his work on the Tom Petty "Damn the Torpedoes" LP (!) You need to own this.)
7" 1981 Cleveland OH (NM vinyl, missing spraypainted newspaper picture sleeve, but color xerox will be provided, also no insert but I've never seen one, Terminal Records TER-4, cool artpunk with Pagans members, first track is great and was played by the Pagans live, at least in their late-80s incarnation, the following is from a Terminal Discography in issue #4 of CLE: "The most mysterious release on Terminal. Home-made newspaper sleeves with the letters LRS spraypainted on them, no info at all, and just an insert of a drawing with the band's name on the label. The players: Mike Hudson on vocals, Mick Metoff on guitar, Charlie Ditteaux on bass, Chas Smith on keys, Pete Haskins on sax, Nick Knox [later of the Cramps] on drums (there was a report of Nick outside Bleecker Bob's record store in NY tearing up an advertisement for the record featuring his name on it, plus he only played on "Earth Boy", leaving Mike's sister Linda to finish the job on skins.) It's believed that they opened for the Easter Monkeys once. Probably the rarest release in the terminal catalog.", Pagans pink album was a 500 press, so maybe at most 300 of this pressed?)

(beautiful NM condition, this is the original 1978 release poster for the "Live at Surf City" single by Vom, the band that later became the Angry Samoans. It is flyer-sized (8.5 by 11 inches), but is high-quality printing on glossy poster paper. It is NOT a color xerox or silkscreen. I've seen a lot of original posters for Killed By Death punk bands, and this is easily one of the top 5 examples in terms of graphic design. The image of singer Richard Meltzer wearing pants on his head is repeated and resized, reminiscent of the classic "50 Million Elvis Fans Can't Be Wrong" album cover. The colors are just amazing. The text from top to bottom says: "Good, clean American fun for young people / R. Meltzer's Vom performs "Live at Surf City" / A five tune 7 incher from White Noise Records. Available now / Vom / "Live at Surf City" / White Noise Records © 1978", The Vom single was a pressing of 2000, and as a result it turns up quite often. This poster is far harder to find. )
