"Where'd You Find That?!": An Illustrated Discography of the (Almost) Unique

Sonic's Rendezvous Band - City Slang (mono) 10" acetate (1978)

Here's a one-sided 10" acetate of the mono version of "City Slang", a post-MC5 Detroit classic by the Sonic's Rendezvous Band. It's the same version that was commercially released on a 7" with the stereo version on the A-side. On the manilla sleeve that houses the acetate is written:

"City Slang"

coming on Orchidé Records - Detroit
Handle with care!!!

It is also autographed by guitarist/vocalist Scott Morgan, who inscribed it "Dan -- Take good care of this!" The white sleeve, now stained, has the band name and song title hand-written in red marker. This was purchased from an Ann Arbor, Michigan record shop that had it on consignment, presumably from "Dan".
